HOW TO ADOPT A RAT

When we have pups available, they will be up for adoption on a first-come-first-served basis for any pups that have not been reserved in advance. You can contact us via email, Whatsapp, phone call, Instagram or Facebook to adopt a pup. If you have never owned rats before, we may discuss intended care with you to make sure you are fully prepared for when your new pup arrives.

Our rats are rehomed at R400 for a duo (R200 per rat). We do not rehome single rats, even if you already have rats. It is very important for a rat's development that they have same-age company. Exceptions may be made in rare cases where age-appropriate company already exists at the adopters home.

The price includes:

500g dry food mix
A honeycomb hammock
Bonding treats
Parasite treatment before the rat leaves the rattery
Any care guides that you would like so that you know how to take care of your rats
Well socialized and healthy rats with good temperaments
Animals will be of a good weight and health at the time of leaving the rattery

Once your adoption request has been approved and you have paid for your pups, you can pick up your new babies from us, or we can have them couriered nationwide at an additional cost. A 50% non refundable deposit will be required before any pups are reserved.

Pet rats are adopted with the agreement that they will not be bred. If your intention is to breed, be honest and let me know in advance. All the rats I sell are pet quality but not all rats are necessarily breeding quality.

You may also return an animal at any time, but please don't apply if you consider them to be disposable pets.
